FY2027–FY2029 Strategic Plan

The MassHire Hampden County Workforce Board’s FY2027–FY2029 Strategic Plan establishes our direction for the next three years and provides a framework for strengthening the workforce system in Hampden County.

The Plan reflects the opportunities and challenges shaping our regional workforce and economy. As employers navigate changing workforce needs, workers adapt to evolving skill requirements, and new technologies reshape the workplace, the Workforce Board has an important role in bringing partners together and developing strategies that connect people and businesses to opportunity.

The Plan is organized around three strategic priorities: Regional Leadership in Workforce Development, Empowering Adults for Workforce Success, and Preparing Youth for High-Demand Careers. These priorities will guide our efforts to strengthen employer and regional partnerships, expand education, training and career pathways, increase work-based learning opportunities, and use labor market information to respond to changing workforce needs.

Progress will be supported by measurable goals and a Strategic Performance Dashboard designed to track results, strengthen accountability, and inform our work throughout the three-year period.

We invite our employers, education and training partners, community organizations, government partners, and other stakeholders to explore the Plan and join us in strengthening the workforce and economic future of Hampden County.
