MassHire Hampden County Workforce Board Awarded $500,000 Grant to Expand Healthcare Career Pathways

MassHire Hampden County Workforce Board is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a $500,000 Senator Kenneth J. Donnelly Workforce Success Grant through the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development (EOLWD) and Commonwealth Corporation.

This important investment will support expanded healthcare career pathways across Western Massachusetts by providing training and placement services for 85 unemployed and underemployed residents preparing for careers as Medical Assistants, Nursing Assistants, and Emergency Medical Technicians.

Through this grant, MassHire Hampden County Workforce Board will partner with healthcare employers and training providers to help residents gain the skills and credentials needed to enter high-demand healthcare occupations while helping employers address critical workforce needs throughout the Pioneer Valley.
