On #413Day, we were proud to host Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll and EOLWD Secretary Lauren Jones to announce $14.4 million in YouthWorks funding and convene a roundtable on youth employment. The event brought together more than 50 attendees, including Mayor Sarno, UMass Amherst Chancellor Javier Reyes, members of our legislative delegation, community partners, employers, and YouthWorks participants.
We also celebrated the launch of the Youth Employment and Skills (YES) initiative, which connects employers with opportunities to support youth employment and skills development across Massachusetts.
We are honored to help lead this work locally and look forward to continuing our collaboration with partners to expand opportunity for youth across our region.
