Registered Apprenticeship Opportunities and Tax Credit

Opportunities exist for employers to sponsor existing workers and new hires as Registered Apprentices (RAs) in traditional and expansion industries, including technology, healthcare and advanced manufacturing. The MA Division of Apprenticeship Standards manages this process and MHHCWB has grants that partner with them and employers to initiate new approved RAs. The state website is at https://www.mass.gov/orgs/division-of-apprentice-standards. There is also a possible Massachusetts Registered Apprentice Tax Credit (RATC) available for RAs in the technology, healthcare and manufacturing sectors. Employers in these sectors may be eligible for up to a $4,800 credit per qualified apprentice. Visit  https://www.mass.gov/how-to/apply-for-a-registered-apprentice-tax-credit-ratc to download more information on how to apply. For more information, contact either Melissa Scibelli at mscibelli@masshirehcwb.com.
