    Summary:  The Hampden County Workforce Board (MHHCWB), in agreement with Springfield Mayor Domenic J. Sarno (as the chief elected official for the Hampden County region), is pleased to announce the release of a Request for Proposals to select One-Stop Career Center Operator/Service Providers to provide comprehensive job seeker and business/employers services within the Hampden County Region under the U.S. Department of Labor’s Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and other federal and state funding.

    This RFP is designed to enable the MHHCWB to assess the credentials and capabilities of parties submitting proposals and to select organizations to be designated MassHire One-Stop Career Center Operator/Service Providers; one to be located in Springfield, MA and one in Holyoke, MA.  The services provided by the One-Stop Career Centers will be driven by the workforce development needs and expectations of its customers:  job seekers and employers. In FY21, their was approximately $2.8M available funding for the operation of the two MassHire One-Stop Career Centers. The winning bidders will be invited to enter into contract negotiations to commence operations on July 1, 2021 (FY22) and final amounts will be contingent on available funding at that time. Eligible applicants are defined in the RFP specifications.  A bidder must submit a separate proposal for operating in either location; but may bid on both.

    A Bidder’s PowerPoint will be posted on the website on December 14, 2020 by 9:00 a.m.  A required Letter of Intent is due to christine@masshirehcwb.com by December 21, 2020, 12:00 p.m.  Written questions may be submitted to christine@masshirehcwb.com through December 30, 2020, 12:00 p.m. and responses will be posted on the website periodically and by no later than January 8, 2021, 9:00 a.m.  For further information contact Christine Abramowitz at 413-755-1358 or christine@masshirehcwb.com.
