    Manufacturing Forum Agenda

    The Western MA Chapter of the National Tooling and Machining Association (NTMA ) in collaboration with the Masshire Hampden County Workforce Board,  cordially invites you to join Members and Friends for an open forum on existing and future-forward topics in Manufacturing.

    This event is open to all manufacturing and supply chain organizations in the region, not just machine shops.  We will be discussing activities and initiatives in workforce development in addition to an open forum on the staffing challenges and skills requirements across all Manufacturing Sectors. Legislators, educators and workforce development professionals will be in attendance to hear your comments and contribute to the conversation.

    A free continental breakfast will be provided.

    Discussions and Topics:

    • The Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MTC) will discuss the   Massachusetts Manufacturing Investment Initiative (M2I2) which advances innovation and job growth within the state
    • Employer procurement opportunities through the SBA and the MA Procurement Technical Assistance Center
    • Recent Workforce Development research on Electromechanical staffing needs of employers in Western MA
    • Apprenticeship Opportunities as a long-term solution to staff growth
    • Open discussion on staffing skills and competencies for the existing and near-future workforce
